This endowment was established with a $1 million gift from Valley First Credit Union as a lasting legacy for the Okanagan, Thompson and Similkameen regions.

Each year, First West Credit Union donates a portion of its profits to grow the endowment, and the fund has now grown to over $1.3 million.

Distributions from the Valley First Community Endowment  began in the Fall of 2011 to charities serving the communities in which Valley First operates. The funding focus for these grants is in support of hunger and food security projects supporting families, youth and children at risk.
