First West's four Community Endowments provide annual grants to communities served by First West Credit Union's divisions Envision Financial, Enderby & District Financial, Island Savings and Valley First. 

  • Impact grants are unrestricted funds to support your operations, programs and services. We’re proud to invest in your organization, and believe you know where a First West Foundation grant will make the biggest impact! Charities with their purpose rooted in one of the Foundation's selected Sustainable Development Goals are encouraged to consider a Foundation grant: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health & Well-Being, Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, and Partnership for the Goals. 
  • Capacity grants are restricted funds, up to $10,000 to help your organization grow from the 'inside out'. We're here to help your orgnaization with operational investment like strategic planning, consultant support, volunteer training and more. Alignment to our Sustainable Development Goals is not mandatory. 

 

Envision Financial Community Endowment   This fund provides grants for for charities serving the communities where Envision Financial operates: Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Delta, Hope, Kitimat, Langley, Maple Ridge, Mission and Surrey.

Island Savings Community Endowment  Funding available for charities serving the communities served by Island Savings including: Brentwood Bay, Chemainus, Duncan, Lake Cowichan, Mill Bay, Nanaimo, Victoria, and Salt Spring Island.

Valley First Community Endowment  Funding available for charities serving the communities where Valley First operates including: Armstrong, Kamloops, Kelowna and West Kelowna, Keremeos, Oliver, Penticton, Princeton, and Vernon. 

Enderby Financial Community Endowment   Funding available for charities serving Enderby or Area "F" of the North Okanagan Regional District.

 

First West Credit Union Leaders Fund

This endowment supports initiatives that advance capacity building and development opportunities within First West Credit Union communities and includes supporting community efforts, education and professional training, along with other programs that positively contribute to strengthening our communities.

Frank Jamieson Memorial High School Curling Bursary

Provides an annual award to a graduating high school student. Preference is given to students who are are also actively involved in curling. Applications are made directly to the Chilliwack Curling Club and the Club selects the recipient of the award. Please contact theChilliwack Curling Club for further information on applying for the bursary.
