$28,943 in grants bolster local charities in Enderby

The First West Foundation, through its Enderby & District Financial Community Endowment, is granting $28,943 this year to three deserving charities in the Enderby area.

We are also celebrating 25 years of serving communities across all our regions. Established in 1996, the First West Foundation is proud to have invested over $7 million in meaningful projects to make a positive and lasting impact upon community life. In recognition of 25 years of helping communities thrive, more dollars are reaching the community this year and each grant disbursement will include an additional $25 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. 

Funds will directly support community-based projects addressing youth-based programming, seniors support services, community education and literacy and community serices for at-risk populations. 

Created as a legacy gift, Enderby & District Financial established a charitable endowment to generate ongoing funding in support of the community.

Since 2014, the endowment has provided 36 grants totaling $214,654 to charities in the region. The Enderby & District Financial Community Endowment proudly supports Enderby and Area F of the North Okanagan district.
