Leaders Fund

The First West Credit Union Leaders Fund was pleased to partner with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – Fraser Valley Chapter in 2017 & 2018 as they brought the Fraser Valley Summit: Greater Things! to the Fraser Valley.  With such a large number of nonprofits based in the Fraser Valley, it was a natural fit for the Leaders Fund.  The Fund’s bursary program helped 39 local non-profit leaders attend a full day of capacity building and professional development workshops.   

Attendee feedback: First and foremost I would like to thank you and  First West Foundation for the bursary to attend the Greater Things Summit. Also, I would like to thank the organizers of the  Summit for  offering such a great event in our community.   As a non-profit leader in the community it was a valuable experience to not only have access to quality workshops but have the opportunity to network with both people I already know and to make new connections.

Also in 2018, we partnered with Vantage Point as we co-created professional development opportunities for non-profit leaders in the Okanagan region.
