Charities across Vancouver Island to benefit from record funding
The First West Foundation is very pleased to announce the 2022 grants for the Island Savings Community Endowment benefiting a record 20 charities and $199,113 in shared grant funding.
The Island Savings Community Endowment proudly supports projects for communities served by Island Savings on Vancouver, Pender and Salt Spring Islands. Since 2016, the endowment has provided 109 grants totaling $745,425 for community projects promoting thriving Island communities.
The Island Savings Community Endowment was created by Island Savings with a $2 million donation to the First West Foundation as a lasting legacy for the communities served by Island Savings. Grants from this fund are aimed at promoting resilient and sustainable Island communities.
